    Water drips in toilet
I replaced entire guts with fluidmaster and still have dripping noise. Turned off water supply and drained water to below flapper and still have dripping noise. Going crazy in California.

Did you have the noise before you replaced the ballcock? Back to you, Tom

If you had the dripping before you replaced the toilet parts the you must look elsewhere. Doe the sound come from inside the bathroom? Try to track the noise. Does it come from in the wall? Another fixture? Can you furnish more details? Back to you, Tom

Well it appears that after tearing tank off bowl for a redo a little tighter on the large nut on bottom of bowl and no more drip if that makes any sense.
    Thanks

Makes sense to me. What's happened is that you had a flush valve leak and fixed it by tightening the spud nut. Good job! Thanks for the update, Tom
