    Dumpers in a rebound relationships
My ex boy friend of 2 years and 8 months dumped me and 4 weeks later got into a new relationship. He even said to me he isn't over me so why is he in a new relationship? How could he move on so fast?

I just want a better understanding of what is going through a dumpers state of mind when there in a rebound relationship. Is it easier for them to move on? Do they compare their new girl friend to their ex?

He is probably lying to you about not being over you. He is the one who dumped you.
Why did he break up with you? It is not a rebound for him because he left you.

How old are you both, and did you stay in contact? Those are important factors in why this throws you off so much. Dumpers have an advantage because they already had the idea to end the relationship and move on long before they actually inform their partners. Maybe she is a rebound, but more than likely they have been talking on some level for a while.

Your ex may not be over you completely, but he ain't looking back right now either, and neither should you.
