Had a judgement against a former owned incorporated company also naming myself in the action OK I accepted. I established a new incorporated company, not similar in any fashon or form to the previous owned company and have now just received notice that they have placed a garnishment against the new company. I have been unable to locate on public records that a 'judgement' has been made against the new company...
Where do I go from here?

They won in court against YOU, so you have to clear the garnishment by paying it off. Quickly, or long term. An order of garnishment comes after not having made suitable arrangements for payment after a judgment was found against you. You did accept the original judgment.

Is it too late to negotiate better terms? Maybe, but at this point they don't have to accept, or even talk to you.

Plus public records may not have been updated, or recorded, and you may have to contact the attorney for the ones who filed suit for any information, or documentation. You really didn't think you could get out of this judgment by starting a new company surely?

Since the judgment was against you personally, the judgment holder can use that judgment to obtain a writ of execution against almost any source of income that you have. You need to read the wording of the writ to determine what it actually says. It was probably unnecessary for them to get a new judgment.

Whether the new business has anything to do with the previous one, it certainly looks like you are trying to dodge your debts.
