    Major itching and pain
I am 74 yrs old and I have been seen by 20 doctors over the course of time. (10 obgyn) For more than a year I have been suffering from major itching and pain all down under on the left side--it also radiates to my left side. Unable to sit comfortably. This year I have been scoped, prodded, scanned, had cultures, had an MRI and a colonoscopy. 4 doctors celebrated that I did not have cancer, but no real solution... lots of pills and creams and ointments. "We think it might be shingles." The last doc ordered a series of blood tests. Immune to shingles, but positive to Herpes I and II. I was tested twice for herpes in the early 90's for a similar problem but not as severe and the tests were negative. Question: Is this possible? I've been faithful to my marriage of 42 yrs and I believe in my husband. This last doc took pleasure in relating the bad news. Should I request another test? Thank you. Ruth

Herpes is not only sexually transmitted. Cold sores are a form of herpes, for example. Is that the diagnosis?
