    Pouring concrete
    Hello all
I am building a second story deck 29x14, right under it I am building a concrete patio about 32x15 on which I will have 4 footings for the deck post... Question is can I pour the concrete at once given the footings will be in compliance with the county and the 4 inch slab for the patio? Or pour for deck footings first, then pour for the patio?. Concern is with settlement... Thanks

Pouring all at once(monolithic pour) would not be a problem and will give better support for posts. Be sure to let concrete cure before doing deck.

Should I use rebar in an L shape connected the footings to the slap?

Properly embedded (min 2 inch or so cover) rebar is rarely a problem in any type of concrete structure, especially in areas where tension stresses are present. Concrete is typically strong in compression and much weaker in tension.
