I recently got a new puppy. My other dog who is 5 years old hasn't eaten in a few days. I think she's depressed because of my puppy. What can I do to help her start eating again.

The best thing is nothing at all, or maybe start giving her better leadership. It is almost unknown for a dog to harm itself by not eating. You need to read the ''My dog won't eat.'' section of the sticky at https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/dogs/i...tml#post254171 Also see the sections on housebreaking and what does a puppy need for the new puppy.
Rather than tempting her with rich food, what she needs is time and attention from you. Going ahead with a good obedience training program including proper heeling on walks would be a good way to both give her the time and attention she needs, and begin reclaiming your proper position. Dogs see all the people and dogs in the household as a pack with each having their own rank in the pack and a top dog. Life is much easier if the 2 legged pack members outrank the 4 legged ones. You can learn to play the role of top dog by reading some books or going to a good obedience class. A good obedience class or book is about you being top dog, not about rewarding standard commands with a treat.
