Have a 22 year old daughter with addiction issues, and lies. No trust left, want to evict. Live in Illinois.

The fact that she is your daughter has no bearing. She is a resident and that means treating her like a tenant under the law. So you need to give her formal written notice to vacate, then follow that up with going to court for an eviction order.

I always say this but just be sure "this is your final answer" and don't second guess yourself when you may get some very bad news at some point after you boot her on the street, where addictive lifestyles of all types typically result in short lives. Make sure you will be able to tell yourself that you have done everything you could have done, and that may be the case but it is the addictive substance doing the talking and lying, probably not your daughter.
