Why do 2 toilets sound like water is flushing but there is no flushing going on?
Two toilets sound like they are flushing every 15 seconds, but no flushing is going on. This is on one side of the house. Does this mean a clogged pipe underneath? This started 2 days ago and has continued non-stop. Help! Toilets had new parts installed 2 months ago.

Sound of flushing in pipes every 15 seconds when no flushing is going on. Help!
There is a sound of flushing in pipes every 15-20 seconds when no flushing is going on. This is coming from two toilets. Both insides were replaced in December. This started 2 days ago and has not stopped. There is no visible action occurring in the toilets.

Open the toilet lids and check the tank level, It should be one half inch under the whit overflow tube. Let me know what you find. Good luck, Tom

    Hi Ksearcy

Take a dark food coloring and drip 20 drops into each toilet TANK...wait for the refill sound to happen a few times and then check the toilet BOWL. If the toilet bowl shows colored water in it after this then the FLAPPER needs to be replaced...;)
