    Measuring cups
I'm British living in Poland and am unable to get the 'measuring cups' used in american recipes. Can anyone tell me roughly the size of cup used. Is it a traditional tea cup size? My scales convert from oz to grams, is there any easy way to convert for example 1 cup of sugar or flour into oz or grams please. At the minute I'm guessing quite a bit!
    Thank you

Thanks for your quick response, they were plenty of hits for weight converter, but not what I was looking for. I guess it's not as straight forward as I thought, because of course 1 cup of flour isn't going to weigh the same as 1 cup of cooked apple or maybe 1 cup of butter. I suppose I really need to have an idea of what size cup is used. Thanks again though.
