I had a real bad bacterial infection in my bloodstream. They treated me over the course of a week with all sorts of antibiotics. However upon my release they wanted me to stay the course and get daily injection through a pic line they inserted. Now its finally removed and I am having severe pain when I breath on my right side. I have to take really shallow breaths to be even close to comfortable. It's a knife stabbing pain if I fill my lung over one third of the way during a breath. Should I be concerned, or is this common when getting line removed.

Definitely something to discuss with your care giver.
