    Flesh Eating Disease
    Good afternoon

My mother suffers from kidney disease, heart disease, and has survived cancer by removal of spleen.

Currently, she is on the way to the hospital because her legs are five times their normal size. Last week, she fell after climbing on a chair and cut her leg open. It got infected and she was given antibiotics in pill form at the hospital and sent home.

She went to the doctor yesterday and he said she needs to be hospitalized as its apparent the water pills aren't working and her leg has flesh eating disease.

My question is... I did touch her leg the other day... Will I contract this too? Does this make me contagious in any way?

    Thanks,
    Dleigh

Why take a chance? Get checked yourself.

Yes, you could be infected. You must see your doctor who will probably prescribe a serious of antibiotics. Monitor cuts and abrasions, and if they look like they are not healing, report this to your doctor.
