A friend of mine might be entering a facility for addiction and he doesn't want his employer to know.
If he request family medical leave or short term disability, will HR disclose the information to the employer?

FYI... HR department IS their employer. THey MUST detail the reason for the FMLA because they have to qualify for it before they are allowed to take it... so they must reveal this.
