I am 45 years old and having heavy vaginal bleeding. I talked to the doctor and se said I was having perimenopause symptoms, but the bleeding is very heavy for 6 days. What else could it be? Never had this before.

It could be from a few things... possibly perimenopause or polyps for example. To get a better idea, your doctor should do an exam and an ultrasound to see if a cause might be determined that way.

I wouldn't just assume that it is due to perimenopause unless other possible causes have been ruled out.
