I remember watching this movie on TV. It was about a couple who rented this house on a lake or island, and the only way you can get there was by boat.
His wife had recently died and he rented the house to get away from it all.
The women rented the same house but didn't know he rented it and was there when he showed up.
She was quite mad at the inconvenience but the boat wasn't coming back, until the following week so he had to stay.
In the beginning she didn't get along with him and treated him horrible, I think she might have had a broken leg or something.
They were the only two people in this house and it was raining so he couldn't even go outside for relief.
Of course, at the end they wind up with each other.
Please help I'm going crazy over this.

The only movie I remember about a woman who gets pinned to a tree by a car and then dies when it is removed is "Signs". But, that was a movie about aliens, with Mel Gibson and Joaquin Phoenix??

I can't remember much more about it than you listed, but I think it was one of those made for TV movies from a harlequin romance. I don't remember her being injured, but I remember the isolation. Nick Mancuso was in one of these, possibly this one, but I don't think so.
