I'm currently enrolled at a college and lately one of my professors has been annoying to me, actually I shouldn't call my professor annoying. During the first week my professor would make jokes 33.3 % of the time, make smart aleck remarks about no one in general 33.3, and spend the rest of the time lecturing. It was assuming at first, but now it's starting to become annoying, most of the jokes they tell are potty-jokes. Don't get me wrong, they are a good professor, I can actually say I'm learning something in their class. They are starting to become a nuisance to me, but I'm doing great in their class based on the grades I'm receiving back on my test scores. The midterms are coming up soon and I don't want to drop the class so far into the semester. I think they make the jokes and remarks because they think that the jokes are funny. My professor is attractive looking, about 70% of the class is the opposite sex of the professor, including me.

Your post is confusing.

You refer to 'they' but do you mean just one person- him?

And, the heading of your post is, ' do you think I might be jealous'; why would you think you might be jealous- do you have feelings for this professor?

Not everybody has the same sense of humour. I don't think it is unusual to talk in general, or offer up a joke to relax the class. You say only that you find the jokes annoying, so I assume you aren't offended.

So, what is the problem?

You suck it up and live with it... the world doesn't bow to your sense of humor... you as an individual have to bow to the worlds, I'm certain it would be easy to find people that felt the same towards your own sense of humor. So until you own your own company... you laugh at the jokes others tell, particularly if they rank above you in the grand scheme of things.

Sorry to tell you... but that's life. I thought you would have understood this long before college.

It's a life lesson in coping skill. Endure it and keep getting good grades and learning.

What you though college was just about book learning? Trust me, in the real world you will have to deal with people 100 times more annoying.

Have no clue about that jealousy thing.
