I have often felt that if the sled Rosebud was still around what a treasure it would be. When Citizen Kane was made at the end of the picture they showed Rosebud being burned in the furnace. Did it really get burned up or was it saved?

There were actually three sleds made for the movie, two were burned in the making of the last scene.

The third still exists and is a collectors item.
