I have a viera th-42pz80u, 2 weeks ago, when I would hit the power button, red led would flash 10 times. I would kill power to unit for a small amount of time, power up, and it would work fine. For maybe a day or two, then id have to redo the same thing. Now no matter what I do, it only flashes 10 times, over and over, I've removed the back, and cleaned the dust out, ran an extension cord to another outlet, still the same thing??

The number of times the red LED flashes is a code for a specific type of problem. I have read that 10 flashes means that the video circuit board needs replacing (one of about a dozen circuit boards in these TVs ), but I can't say for sure with your particular model if this is exactly the problem.

For most folks this will be something to turn over to a qualified technician to deal with. I wish you luck.
