    Windows 7
When I installed Windows 7, I now have all these emails accounts. Hotmail, Gmail, Windows Live. I usually use Yahoo. Can I get rid of all these accounts, and just continue to use Yahoo

Just stop using them and go with the one you want is the easiest way to go about it, and they will fade to the junk heap of cyber space. I have some going back more than 10 years.

If I reply to an email, it goes directly to Windows Live email. Is Hotmail and Gmail directly linked to Windows Live email?

    Removing an alternate email address
    1. Sign in to your Yahoo Account Information page.
    2. Under "Sign-In and Security," Click Update password-reset info.
    3. Click Delete next to the email address you want to remove.
    4. Click Delete Now to confirm your request.

Try this procedure and let me know if it works for you.

Windows Live Mail is tied into Windows. The issue is the e-mail client you use. Since Yahoo is a WEB only client, its harder to make it your default e-mail. If you want to only use Yahoo, then you have to compose mail only from within Yahoo.

Actually you cannot have an account unless you create one since you need to have a name and pass for any accounts you use. So if you don't open them and fill anything out you don't actually have an account. As for the Windows Live Mail I have never had it, but the Live aspect makes me think it will inform you of e-mails that come in whether you have an account or not. A distraction if nothing else. MicroSoft is good at bugging you unnecessarily. You can uninstall it if it's a pain. How do I uninstall Windows Live Mail? - Microsoft Windows Help
