    How old are you?

Anytime you have sex you can get pregnant regardless of the birth control you're on. Birthcontrol just lessens the chance you could get pregnant to the point of severely unlikely. As well it can take perfectly fertile couples over a year to get pregnant. The reason why I say that is to show that you could have, through out the past 9 months, gotten pregnant at ANY time. As well implantation bleeding, while observed in a SMALL percentage of the population, isn't common. When someone is stretching and reaching for something to explain what they're seeing they'll tend to pick anything and everything, regardless of how rare or unlikely it could be, and use that to explain what they see. It is how we work. We need a explanation and nothing will stop us from finding it, critical thought and logic included. It is how we're wired and can really only see that tendency when we look for it.

You're taking birth control now, that is good. If you miss a pill they tell you to take the pill immediately. So if you forgot the day you had sex you should have taken it as soon as you remembered. As well since this is the first month that you're taking birth control you should be relying on a separate method of birth control as well as the pill. Condoms for example would have been perfect. By the grace of god isn't.

What should you do now? Continue taking the birth control. I am assuming that this is the monthly variety so you will get a period at the end of it. If you don't get a period, wait two weeks and if you still don't get your period then take a home pregnancy test. While a bunch of them will say that you can take it before your expect period they become more accurate after the two weeks. Less chance of a false negative.

    Good luck.
