I have a Kenmore stacked washer/dryer, 417.94812301
The agitator wasn't working. I took off the dispenser and the cap below it. Now the bolt is stuck.
A guy told me that sometimes on washers, the bolts go in the opposite direction than you would think.
I tried going both ways. When I go clockwise, I can't budge it. (I tried some WD-40 on it.) When I go counter clockwise, the whole tub goes around.
Which way does the screw go and is there a way to keep the tub and agitator from going around when I am working on it? Thanks - Julie
