I am looking to replace a toilet that I believe had cracked and is leaking on the bathroom floor ( have unexplained water around toilet after shutting off water source). What is better a flapper/piston toilet or a jet siphon or a standard gravity?

Does the tank drain when the water is off? Check the spud washer between the tank and bowl, just replaced a leaking one yesterday.
A pressure-assist toilet is best in terms of operation, but it is the most expensive.
A siphon jet toilet is the next best and they are usually reasonably priced....these are also called gravity toilets in most cases.
I am not a fan of the piston toilets as they seem to have problems with the seal at the piston more often than most common toilets.
That is my opinion.
