I repaired my Kohler faucet with a new ceramic valve but when I turn on the water there is nothing coming out even though I reopened the water supply valves?

First thing to do is to remove the aerator...could be plugged up from some crud let loose when you opened the old valves. If the aerator is clean, then there is a good chance that when you opened the supply valve(s) some of the old washer/crud came loose and plugged your new cartridge up...remove, clear valve with water to confirm water is getting to the faucet, clean the cartridge of sediment and reinstall.
