Hi eknsi and welcome, Good job on posting the pictures, there should be an expert along shortly but I'm curious as to why your adding the Y? Your wanting to add bathroom in basement? A little more information will get a better answer.

    Hi Eknsi

The first thing to do is to is expose the HORIZONTAL pipe...to about 2" under the pipe...expose about 16" and then you can cut into the horizontal pipe with that angle grinder and a metal cutoff wheel (wear goggles). To cut the underside, you'll need a sawzall (reciprocating saw) and bimetal blades or blades with graphite or diamond (lennox) on them.
