We texted 30 times daily for weeks but recently she slowed to every couple of days and doesn't initiate anymore and hasn't been in the shop for a week now. We have loads in common and she asked me out but I was busy. I've tried to ask her since but she says we will do at some point. I really like her and have been a perfect gent about it. She's not replied to my last 3 texts yesterday.

Then stop texting and call her. She obviously has other things going on.

Hey thanks for the help. I've know a girl for four years she works in the shop across the road from my house. We would talk a few times a week over years, she's really nervous/shy around me but I knew she liked me (signs). To be honest, I have liked her too since I met her but never let on I'm also shy to but not quite as bad... maybe LOL.

So just before Christmas 2013, I went in the shop and she passed me her car keys for me to see (nervous again) and I complimented her on her purchase and herself. I finally asked her number just after she seemed really happy about it, big smile. Anyways we started texting that night and have been till yesterday, 12/02/14. I called her yesterday, we don't really talk on the phone she said she's bad on it, her words and again, me too. Texted twice (I don't randomly text her again like some would but have to ask her out this time) to ask her out for valantines day. I never mentioned the occasion though, but she's not replied and because she usually replies quite quick and instantly most times, I'm concerned. In fact since the Saturday before that date 12/02/14 she's been texting like only once a day just a reply to accidental call I made in the morning and a text to say she was busy all day at tea time working when I said good morning, with a day gap. Not been in the shop either (unusual) she is busy, but not away, anywhere her phones on, but she went to a 30th birthday party on that Saturday before 12/02/14 and has reduced texting me since then? I hear its normal, but again concerned a little still.

Anyway when we first got started talking it was all sorts, and remained good till the party day Saturday. 5 weeks everyday all day, good conversation on that Saturday though, We've meant to have gone out twice I had to cancel and she had problems at work, but she's said we will get together at some point a few weeks back, 3 maybe, but I'm not sure. She works 5 am with 10 pm splits. Most days, long hours which I told her I respect a lot. I'm 28 she 23 by the way. Despite her work we texted every day morning till night without a hitch till that Saturday, over 50 one day! From work, to hobbies the past, everything. We talked about sex, virginity, she isn't though but told me she wishes she was. We were talking about old days and she knows I've had a rough past and said I was a little star for coming through it all (family problems, she knows about me with working near my house, rumors). She also said she was leaving the shop as I asked her number, but after we started talking she picked up more hours :) . In some of her texts she said she had never met anyone like me before in a good way and one of the reasons she stayed was because of me saying about things in her past have lead her to where she was now meeting me. Really nice things were said by each other she wanted to be held and cuddled and I her. She knows I'm a decent guy I help anyone whenever and my hearts pure and I'm gentlmanly too.

So I'm thinking that she may be avoiding me because of V day but I'm not sure. I'm just unsure as to what may have happened recently and don't want to seem clingy needy anything but should I leave her to contact me or try again when she's hopefully in the shop next? But after V.day or what? I'm just not sure.

You asked her out 2 days before Valentine's Day (kind of late!) plus you didn't mention Valentine's Day.
Now maybe you still want to be all casual, but heck! Do tell her that you want a special date that day, but were afraid, and maybe you can fix this if it isn't too late.

As for texting, you said it yourself - most people text too much, way too much, and if it doesn't go way down one of the two people is going to go out of his or her mind, or break up. STOP texting so much, especially with someone who is working long hours on split shift!

Everyone in your last thread said call her on the phone, but I have to ask if you have your own vehicle?

Maybe she has other plans, maybe the newness of it all has worn off and she is not in to you. Stop texting her so much. She knows where you are.

I think your best bet at this time is to just send her flowers, candy, or a card, and let that be enough for now. You have two handicaps the biggest being no car to take her out with, or even meet her someplace that fits her busy work schedule, which is the second obstacle. So back off and understand her being busy, and don't force yourself on her.

She may like you well enough as a text buddy but to be fair making time for romance with you is a whole nuther deal. At this time you are to limited to keep up. That can change though. You do work don't you?

30 texts a day would be annoying as hell to the average adult with a job... heck if my WIFE texted me 1/4 that much I'd be annoyed.

As the guy, you should text her or call her. Maybe just once more and see what happens?
