    You have just fallen out of an airplaneflying at 10,000 feet without a parachute. Calculate (a) how long it will take you to reach terminal velocity (~120 mph), and (b) how far you have fallen in that time. Finally, calculate (c) the totaltime required for you to splatter on the sidewalk

    Hello cam - please show us your attempt to solve these problems and we'll be glad to help if you get stuck. By the way, their are many ways to approach the first part of the problem, depending on the model for the falling body's acceleration that you are using. It really depends on the level of sophistication of your physics class - a beginning high school course would use an entirely different and simpler approach to this than would an advanced course in fluid dynamics.
