I have a single handle aquasource shower faucet and the handle will not stay on and will not turn controler to turn on [or off] the water

Hard to say if the problem is the handle or the stem assembly from here. I suggest that you contact LOWES as they are the distributer in most places and they should be able to help you find the proper replacement parts.

Have a model number of the faucet handy, or take a few pictures and e-mail them to Lowe's tech. support people so they can help you find the correct parts. If you are lucky, they are under warranty!

Should be little hole in the handle that a set screw fits into and tightens to the cartridge.
