    Loan in Cyprus to be paid after owner of property dead?
    Hallo.I m widowed parent of 9 years boy,my husband passed away one year ago,he ow to the bank for 2 bedrom apartment 100.000.Property is on his name.Loan has not be insured.We was married for 15years.Me and my son are British,my late husband was Cypriot.I m afraid we going to finish on the street.Thank you on advance

    If there was no provision or insurance to cover his death, you owe the bank.
    ** someone has to pay the bank.

    As for as whose name it is in, you are the heir to the property, so if you wish to keep the property, you will have to pay for it.

    Is the bank seeking immediate payment of the loan? Is it seeking to foreclose a mortgage (or similar security interest) on the apartment (what in the US would be called a condominium)? Is the property in Cyprus?
