Help Washer Drain Pipe Frozen, Needing a Simple Fix
Help! I live in a older house in Missouri & my washer drain pipe is on a outside wall ( rental ) & has Froze twice this year.. I'm hoping for a simple fix, as I have to do it myself.
The drain pipe next to the washer inside is PVC pipe & unsure what is in the wall, I've purchased a small crank type snake & put down the pipe as far as it'd go ( pretty far ) & even boiled hot water & slowly pour'd in pipe all to no luck..
Can somebody Help me with a Simple Fix?

You might want to let the landlord know that you have a frozen pipe. Pouring boiling water into an open pipe is not a good idea as it can cause damage or you could have an explosion from air pockets causing the hot water to shoot back out. It would be best if possible to thaw the pipe gently if you can get access to it. Do you have a basement where this runs into? If there is a crawlspace then someone can get to the pipe and warm it up so it flows.
