I had a surprise breathalizer after taking cough meds with alcohol in it and also I take zquil every night to sleep so the bac said 0.26 and my probation officer didn't believe me that it was meds that caused it so he had me do a EtG and sent it to the lab to see what the levels said. I don't know what to expect because its been 2 days and I'm still waiting and stressing out! Please help.

A fail is a fail... they don't care why. There are non-alcoholic formulations of every medicine today and its your job to seek them out. There is no legitimate excuse to use one that has it when prohibited.

And yes you can get a DUI that way as well that you can't beat.

If I'm understanding this correctly, with a reading like that, you should have been hammered. Unless you drank bottles of cough syrup, I don't see how you could have blown a .26 unless you were actually drinking.

No way cough medicine will give .26 unless you drank a gallon.
