I have a small TV that I had plugged into the coaxial wiring in wall and was getting channels. The coaxial inside wire was too long and didn't screw into TV. I trimmed the inside wire and now I don't get any channels. Help please

First, I moved this from the Forum Help area. That area is for asking questions about using this site.
Second, its probable you trimmed the core too much. So get a new cord.
I agree with Scott that you may have cut too much of the center wire off. In that case, you'll need to replace the cable.
The wire should stick out slightly from the threaded connector as shown in the picture.
