    Vacuum breaker in hose connection
Directions for oxygenics handheld shower say that dripping/leakage of water at the hose connection to the handheld holder is expected, as a requirement of the vacuum breaker. It seems "messy"/unusual, and I wonder if it is necessary, never having seen such before.

    Hi Thueo

Yeah, a lot of manufacturers are now including the vacuum breaker and yes, they leak, but should only leak at the end of the shower when the shower is shut off (most cases)...allows air into the system so dirty water cannot back up and into the water system. On a national basis, yeah, they are a great thing, especially when you consider little kids bathing in a tub with that hand-held shower just sitting in the tub...YUCK!!
