I had a problem with the dispenser waterline on my Side-by-Side GE fridge freezing. I followed advice on using a hairdryer to heat the door. It worked.

However on the I used it also on the front side of the door where the dispenser is, and there appear to slight cracks in the door. The tab that you press to make the water flow was left crooked and has to be pressed back much farther now. Has anyone had this problem and how can it be fixed?
