I watched a movie recently that I can't remember for the life of me. I don't remember much, it had a man in a type of prison or camp in another country. He meets a kid while sitting on the stairs of this prison town/camp, the kid asks him for a cigarette. He starts a fie as a distraction to rob this little store hut thing. He makes friends with the kid and his mother. I think the head of the jail thing likes the kids mom and also needs the man for a special task. I know this is probably confusing but if you have seen it or it rings a bell please give me the title.
