Can you dry a pilot light on my boiler that's blown out with the rain with a hair dryer?

Can you get the pilot to light at all, but it won't stay lit? If you can light the pilot but it won't stay lit, then the thermocouple needs to be replaced.

If water got into the pilot system then most likely the pilot ORIFICE is clogged and that cannot usually be dried out...have to physically remove the pilot assembly, find the orifice and clear it using a very small pin head.

I'd start by replacing the THERMOCOUPLE and if that doesn't get things up and running I'd pull the pilot assembly and clean the orifice.

    Questions? Let us know, OK?
