To get a visitation order you go to court. Some states have more restrictive visitation for infants defined as under twelve months. However, unless you are a danger to the child you shouldn't have a problem getting the judge to write up an order. It really just depends on how booked up the court is to determine how long it takes between when you petition the court and when you get a court date.

So you go to court. You should have filed in court immediately after the child was born to enforce that you are the legal father and to enforce your visitation rights. Until there is a court order, the mother is in control.

Do exactly what they said, you will need to go to court and get court ordered visits.
