No longer want to have a period
I have had my tubes tied and my children are out of the house. I no longer want to have a menstrual cycle every month. How can I stop it from coming without having a hysterectomy.

Depo Provera might work, but it is also known to cause increased prolonged bleeding. There are certain birth control pills that are designed to be taken without a break, only having a period once every three months. Other than that you can have a hysterectomy (which no doctor will do just to end your periods) or you can wait for menopause.

Also note that many of these solutions could reduce your libido to almost non-existent. If you're still sexually active, this might be an issue to consider as well.
