    Outlets not working
What would cause 2 outlets in the same room to both not work, but the wire going into the back of the outlet lights up my tester. I changed both outlets, but it's still the same. Thanks

What kind of tester you using? If you are using one of those no contact voltage sensors, they detect voltage, but do not tell you that you have a complete circuit.
Really sounds like you have a faulty neutral connection at the outlet that feeds the non functioning outlets.

If the outlets are wired using the speedy push in connections, move wires to the screws. The push connects have a habit of not making good contact.

    Does this help?
