When I click on the Foxfire desktop icon, nothing happens. I have to go to the
"all programs" list and right click on it to open the browser.

Simply recreate the desktop shortcut.

Why did you have to right click on the shortcut in the all programs directory? You should be able to single left click to open from there. Could your mouses left button be failing? You can check the shortcuts properties and compare to the properties of the one that works to see if the "target" and "start from" lines are identical. If they are there's nothing wrong with the shortcut. You can make a new one by right clicking on the quick start icon, the all programs icon. or even Firefox.exe in the directory and select "send to desktop create shortcut".
