    Car Amplifier
Hey there: I have a 1200W, 2 Channel, Sony amplifier and recently upgraded my subwoofer. Unfortunately when I put the new sub in it didn't work. I checked and I have voltage at the amplifier and it says that everything is running properly but there is nothing at the outputs to my subwoofer. My question is whether this is fixable or if I'm going to have to go buy a new amp. Any help would be great.

You say you upgraded the subwoofer and it quit working? So then I must assume it worked in the past with a different speaker. Do you still have the old speaker to temporaily hook up as a test? Is the new subwoofers impedance rating in line with that of the amplifier. I am also guessing you have the amplifier bridged for one sub? Also, when you say there is "nothing at the outputs to my subwoofer" how did you verify this, with a meter ? I would try the old speaker first and see what that gives you. Let us know the result or answers to above.

    Good Luck,
