    Blood cholestrol testing
    I just had my blood results and the doctor wants to see me but can't get to him for a week. I am 45 yrs old 5ft 8 slim and very healthy never go to doctors. I don't smoke or drink only occasionly a glass of wine I exercise and my weight is 11 and half stone.
    My results are
    Serum Cholesterol 4.4 mmol/L
    Serum HDL 1.2 mmol/L
    Serum LDL 2.9 mmol/L
    Serum triglycerides 0.7 mmo/L
    Serum Cholesterol / HDL ratio 3.7
    This was a fasting test

    First off, you're results are good, based upon what I was able to Google and read in 2 minutes.

    The reason your doctor wants to see you is probably to explain the results.

    If you doctor wants to see you after fasting blood work, then he probably has a diagnosis for you. We can't make that determination, so will leave that to your doctor. Total cholesterol is good if it is 5.2mmol/L or under, yours is 4.4.
