    Dear Luthcleasaí,
I would be very interested in learning gaelic. I am 15 years old and expecting to become an Irish citizen within the next year. I live in the United States. I would be very interested in expanding my vocabulary. I have been to ireland once for 3 weeks. My grandparents are both born and raised there. My grandma is still alive I think she would be very happy if I told her that I was learning gaelic. I am about 80% Irish and 20% English. I lived in Norway for a year and a half I know norwegian fluently. I am not Norwegian. I am a quick learner when it comes to language. I am currently taking spanish 2 in high school. I wish there was such a class for language theory(the way languages are related). It would be very nice if you would reply.
    Sincerely, Deirdre

I would love to. Daughter and I are taking Irish Step dancing and I get embarrassed trying to pronounce the dances and other terminology.

Irish and Gaelic are two separate languages, yes?

Well, Gaelic is the old irish language, where as "Irish" is English.. since that's what most of the population of Ireland speak.
