Is my partner the father of another's baby?
So recently my partner has been told he might be the father of a 4 year old kid. We're waiting for DNA testing, but from what we have worked out there's no way it can be my partners child. The baby was born May 31st, 2010. Two weeks later the mother says she fell pregnant sometime in August because she was 10 weeks September. Well my partner was daiting his ex girlfriend on July 26th, 2009 and he's 100% sure on that because he dated her just before his birthday which is July 27th 2009. He knows he sleept with the mother 2 weeks before July 27th, so there is a whole month missing between the time they last had sex and when she said she fell pregnant.

My partner does know that the mother of the kid slept with two other males after my partner got with his girlfriend at the time. The mother says she's sure the kid is his because she thinks the kid looks like him, but the kid does not at all look like him. They were meant to do DNA testing after the baby was born and my partner was going to pay for it, but she said not to worry she doesn't need a father. Now 4 years later she wants a test. So could anyone let me know their opinions if they think it is or isn't?

You will have to wait for the results of the paternity test.

After re-reading... If she became pregnant in August it would be impossible for her to be 10 weeks in September.

J_9 that's what my partner and I keept trying to work out! How she can say she fell pregnant in August cause she was 10 weeks in September. It doesn't add up! We saw an ultra sound on the 14/1/2010 saying the baby was 18cms which is around the baby being 20 weeks old! The only true thing we have to go by is the baby's birthday and that my partner last sleept with the mother over 2 weeks before July 26th as he got into a relationship on July 26th and had been seeing her for the two weeks prior

Since conception is not an exact science and there is normally a one to two week window, we normally recommend taking a DNA test to verify. It does not seem likely, if everyone's dates are correct.

He should have done the DNA test when born. But needs to do it now just to be sure.

Time for a DNA test. That is the only way you will know for certain.

Let's put it this way. There are 4 weeks in a month, not ten. August to September is one month. If she found out she were 10 weeks pregnant in September, that means that she probably got pregnant in July.
