    Galvanized waste line
Hi I have a similar situation but I have a clean out at the end of my waste line which is only about 4 feet long. Am I better off just using a power auger to clean the pipe out or is this a very temporary solution, how long will I get before having to re-auger that line. My concern about using a French is I still have a 6 in section that is going to cause problems later, am I off track, would appreciate some advice. Thank you.

What is a "French" that has to do with a drain line?

If it is only 4 feet long, I would repipe it to PVC (or ABS) using a SHIELDED FERNCO CLAMP...;) Be sure to ream/clear the pipe where it connects to the larger drain pipe.

In this way, you shouldn't have to think about this drain again for a long time.
