    No... a pregnancy test only looks for the presence of a specific hormone.

    The hormone that a home pregnancy test tries to detect is HCG. So a low HCG, depending on how low that value is, could cause a negative pregnancy test result on a home pregnancy test. This is also dependent on how sensitive the test is as well. I am also assuming that you're using a home pregnancy test as well.
