    Whistling noise from toilet
    Hi.

I have a Kohler toilet which I bought back in 2011, it uses 1.5 GPF. About a month ago it started making a whistling noise after the tank fills, at first it wasn't too bad but now its louder (very annoying). It only makes the noise after the tank is full. Please help me get rid of this noise.

    Thanks,

    CD

Turn OFF and back ON the valve under the toilet. See if the whistling continues...

Or, clean Fill Valve head inside the tank. It may have debris sitting in it making the noise...

    Back to you / Milo

I'm assuming that you have a float ball ball cock. Shut the water off to the toilet and undo this three screws on top of the ball cock. Left up the float and seat assembly. P you pry out the washer and turn it over. Before you reassemble place a can over the ball cock and turn the water back on promote the flush out the supply. Reassemble and test noise all gone? Good luck, Tom
