    Frozen washer drainage pipe
When my washer drains water just shoots out of the exterior wall and all over my utility room. Is there a way to thaw it without getting water everywhere. I can't pull the washer away from the but I can get to the hose and the hole in the wall? It drains fine but comes back into the house immediatlely.

    The PTRAP is frozen...

It sounds like the washer drain froze at the PTRAP in the wall (PTRAP always has water in it to keep sewer gasses out of your home). If that is the case, you'll need to pull the washing machine and open a hole in the wall to access the PTRAP and then use a hair dryer to thaw the PTRAP IF it didn't break (assuming plastic drain pipe).

Otherwise, you'll need to wait for the PTRAP to thaw out on its own (and may still need to open wall to repair the PTRAP if it broke).

    Good luck!
