My kenmore drier will not power up what do I do?

First I would check the breaker, turn it completely off and back on. Problem solved? No. Then you check power at the back of the dryer using volt/ohm meter. If that checks out OK, you need to start checking the built in safeties using your meter. Post back what you find.

Should we assume the dryer is 240 vac? Checking power at therecptacle first is a great start. Many dryers have a fusable link which must be replaced once it trips. Model # might help
