I have about 1 acre of mowable lawn. I have used a lawn service before but want to make a go of it myself... I have some weeds (mostly clover). Using a walk behind spreader what kind of fertilizer will work best in the spring?

Well I guess ones weed is another wonderful yard ( I love clover)

The question here is not simply which fertilizer is better for your lawn. It has more to do with the soil content. To find the correct fertilizer, we must test our soil to see what it may be lacking or have an abundance of. If your soil has a high acidity level, then one fertilizer would better than another, and so forth.

A lot of people take shortcuts, don't do the testing, and kill their lawns. Then again, other people just pick a fertilizer at random and have the most beautiful lawn in the neighborhood.
