When lowering the door of the kitchenaide dishwasher the door clunks when it reaches the full opening

Door spring or door lip is probably catching on some part of the frame. Open the bottom kick panel (2-4 screws) and see if it can be checked that way. Otherwise, you may have to pull the unit from under the cabinet.
