    96 Escort electrical Problems
The radio stopped working after a rain storm so I went out to check the wiring and found that the turning signals, hazard lights, running lights and brake lights stopped working as well. High and low beams work fine so do the wipers. Before all this the battery wouldn't hold a charge but now it does?. If anyone could lead me to a answer I would greatly appreciate it.

. Test all under hood and under dash fuses with a test light or multi-meter.

. Check the multi-purpose switch, if the problem persists.

Battery still sounds questionable to me. Have you had it tested?

You'll pull apart the steering column? Grease suggested under dash, not inside steering column.

Yes the battery is good but I'm still not sure what was causing the drain. And now I'm just confused, I thought he was talking about the multi-fuction switch. Was he talking about the multi-purpose relay?
